My Time to Craft GDT - Domesticated Animals

Wow! can you believe 3 months have passed by already... and so this is my final GDT challenge with My Time to Craft.

I would like to say a Big Thank You to Shell and the Team for having me as Guest Designer... I've really enjoyed creating with you all and have made some new friends too which is lovely! :-)

This week's theme is .....

'Domesticated Animals'

This is a card that I made for a lovely blogging friend's Birthday and I chose to use a very cute kitten and scrummy cupcakes...

Image, Small Sentiment and Papers:  Papermania - 'Little Meow'
Large Sentiment: Anna Marie Designs
Layered FLower: LOTV Sheet
Star HotFix Nail Studs: JosyRose

the star nail studs don't show up very well in this photo as they are metallic and the light is bouncing off them, but they are pink & aqua and quite pretty.

Hope you can pop over to My Time To Craft and see the rest of the team's wonderful animal creations!

I had a lovely Bank Holiday last weekend... a very relaxing Saturday crafting and on the Sunday I went for a Christmas Meal with the girls !! yep, you heard right !!! it had been postponed so many times, due to me being ill, and so it was good to finally get there! and what a lovely meal it was too (no turkey and trimmings on the menu though Lol!) .. and hey, not too long to wait now until our next Christmas Meal ;-))

Unfortunately my chest has flared up again now... so I'm gonna rest up this weekend and hope I can get over it without more tablets. Think I will get my ink dusting brushes out this weekend... see what I can create! ;-))
Hope you all have a good weekend!

My Time to Craft GDT - Zoo Animals

Gosh can't believe it's Saturday again already! so time for another of my GDT challenges at

and this week's theme is

'Zoo Animals'

I've used a wonderful Bugaboo Lion... isn't he the cutest lion ever!!!!  This is a card for a little boy who loves lions and tigers and goes around shouting "Roar!!!!" :-))

A very easy card to make... I merged the image with the papers... added my own sentiments and then printed the whole thing off leaving the lion white. Then coloured in the lion with Copics.

Blue Paper: Pink Petticoat - Animal Print
Colouring Medium: Copics

Hope you can pop over to My Time To Craft and see the rest of the team's wonderful Zoo creations!

Talking of animal noises... we got woken up in the middle of Thursday night by a Vixen's Scream!! As we live right by the woods, there are lots of Foxes around here and it's lovely to see one when coming home from an evening out... but don't like when they scream like that.. sounds like a woman being murdered... sends chills down my spine!!

I also heard another weird noise a couple of months back, again in the middle of the night, which sounded like a cross between a chimp and a parrot right outside my window!! really frustrating as I couldn't see a thing when I looked out!! but have just found out that this noise is called Gekkering and is also made by foxes when they are playing or fighting!!  Lol - I honestly didn't know foxes could make so many different noises! so there you go... some interesting nature facts... Springwatch with Sue B! Hee hee...

Hope you all have a lovely weekend... hope the sun shines for the Bank Holiday in the UK!

MAWTT - Spring into Summer

Hello... I hope you are all doing ok today... it's the turn of Team B this week at

the lovely Claire is hosting this week and has chosen a fab theme! :-))

'Spring into Summer'

We want you to be inspired by this Photo and use the colours... you don't have to use all of the colours.... you could just pick 2 or 3 etc.

They are gorgeous colours aren't they... you have chosen well Claire!

I have kept things very Soft and Simple for this card... I began by looking through my digital folders and choosing some papers to match the colour chart. The backing paper is so soft and dreamy.... so thought I'd go vintage and just add some pretty lace and beautiful bow. I nearly added some more embellies but glad that I didn't now... as think it would have spoilt it!!

Image: E-Vint
Paper: Sarah Schmutz - 'Mist' - Design House Digital (now closed down)
Frame: 'French Provincial' - Digital Scrapbook Place (sorry can't find this either)
Gorgeous Bow: a Birthday gift from my friend Elaine in Oz (thank you!)
Lace: Wild Orchid Crafts

I hope you can pop over to our main site at MAWTT and see the rest of the Team's Photo-inspired creations!! We look forward to seeing your entries!

Thankfully my tooth behaved last weekend and so I had a lovely time with my daughter celebrating her Birthday. We went for a pub lunch on the Saturday which was really nice, and then we had a Champagne Lunch on Sunday with lots of nice food. But need to go on a diet now! Lol

Tuesday I was back to crafting... my mojo seems to have returned and I'm enjoying it again! :-)

Not long until the weekend... it's supposed to brighten up here in UK, so fingers crossed that we have a sunny Bank Holiday! think I will sit in the garden and read if it's nice on Saturday.
Thanks for all your lovely comments!
Have a great weekend!

My Time to Craft GDT - Sketch

Hello... hope you are doing ok today... it's Saturday and time for another of my GDT challenges over at

and this week's theme is a fab sketch by Pat

'Sketch'

I've used a lovely vintage image from E-Vint and teamed it with some Raspberry Road Design Papers and Elements.

I've raised the two panels with 3D foam for added interest. All printed on glossy card which looks nice in real life but doesn't come across very well in photos.

Hope you can pop over to My Time To Craft and see the rest of the teamies wonderful sketchy creations!

Sorry I've not been in Blogland this last week... just needed to take a wee break. All the tooth and chest trouble suddenly got on top of me.

Also I've been busy making an extra special card/gift for my Daughter as it's her 30th Birthday tomorrow. Where does the time go? it seems like only yesterday that she was my baby girl !! Lol

I will catch up with you all as soon as I can
Hope you all have a great weekend!

My Time to Craft GDT - Sympathy

Hello all... it's Saturday again and so time for another of my GDT challenges over at

and this week's theme is

'Sympathy'

This is one type of card that I don't enjoy making.... but I do try to keep in a supply of them in case they are needed....

I  think this Pink Petticoat Image and Bearly Mine Design Paper work really well together for Sympathy/Condolence Cards. The digital paper was a freebie ages ago.... the original is actually green which is lovely and works well, but I fancied a change for this card and so have altered the tone to purple with imaging software.  I like to add a few gems or a butterfly to signify hope and eventually brighter times ahead...

Paper: Bearly Mine Designs
Punch: Martha Stewart - 'Royal Butterfly'
Gems: Stash

Hope you can pop over to My Time To Craft and see the rest of the teamies wonderful creations!

Sorry my last post ended a bit abruptly... it was scheduled and I usually add a bit of chit chat on Wednesday evening but I got a fever of 102F and felt awful. My tooth had flared up again, but also my chest... so didn't know whether to go to the doctor or the dentist!! ROFL..... decided on the doctor and now have some antibiotics and steroids so feeling a bit better now.

On the way back from the doctor's on Thursday, it was such a beautiful day! Although I didn't feel very well I really needed cheering up.... so Mum and I stopped off at the lane near the meadows....  isn't it a lovely place... we are so lucky to live near here.

it's a very short walk to the Bluebell Woods... lots of birds singing...

it was lovely and sunny and there is a bench nearby to sit and relax. We saw two very friendly doggies going walkies... A lovely Spinoni with gorgeous silky wheat-coloured coat, and a very bouncy little Spaniel. They were both adorable!

Glad we went our little walk yesterday as today (Friday) has been non-stop rain all day!!

Hope the weather brightens up for everyone soon! I'm hoping to do a bit of crafting this weekend and also read some of my crafting and history magazines... I have a few unopened yet! terrible I know but will enjoy catching up with them! :-)
Thanks for all your lovely comments... I really do appreciate them.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

MAWTT - Birds or Feathers

Hello... I hope you are all doing ok today... it's the turn of Team B once again at

and the lovely Jessie is hosting this week and has chosen a fab theme! :-))

'Birds or Feathers'

Interpret this how you like... you could feature a bird and/or feathers...use a feather image, die, punch or even a real feather!!

I was really pleased to have this theme as I got a feather die with magazine a while back which I've been wanting to try out. So I began by cutting out a couple of feathers but then didn't know what to do with them!! Lol so had to do some heavy brainstorming..... and a lot of ideas came together to make this Christmas Wall Hanging...

Image: E-Vint
Die: Feather and Star, both free with magazine
Papers, Banner and Frames: Raspberry Road Designs
Quote: from It's a Wonderful Life...
Stash: Flower, Sleigh Bells, Star Charm, Ribbon, Twine

Here's how my brainstorming went... you might have heard the saying ... Feathers appear when Angels are near... so I looked through my vintage images for some Angels... when I saw this image from E-Vint and saw the bells! I immediately thought of It's A Wonderful Life... Every Time a Bell Rings, An Angel Gets it's Wings... I found some Papers and Elements in my Raspberry Road Designs folders. I changed the tone of the frames and banner to match my project.

Here's the creation hanging.... and as you can see I've added some Sleigh Bells to the ribbon/twine! so there will be lots of 'Angels getting their Wings' when this is hung in our hall at Christmas! ;-)

I hope you can pop over to our main site at MAWTT and see the rest of the Team's Bird/Feather creations!! and hope you can join us in this fun challenge.

Thanks for all your lovely comments, I really do appreciate them!
Will catch up with you all soon!

My Time to Craft GDT - New Baby

Hello... Saturday has come around again (so quickly!) and it's time for another of my GDT challenges over at

and this week's theme is

'New Baby'

This is a card that my daughter asked me to make for a friend who's baby boy was due. She wanted something without an image and something fairly flat for posting....

.....so I found a chunky font for the NEW BABY BOY words and digitally paper-pieced them with the blue gingham paper.  Then cut the letters out again and 3D'd them for added interest. Also found a fancy font for the Congratulations sentiment. The paper is from Pink Gem Designs... I altered the tone a little to make it look more like a 'baby blue'.

Gingham Paper: Pink Gem Designs
Sentiments: NEW BABY BOY - 'Agent Red Font'
Sentiments: Congratulations on Your - 'Fontdinerdotcom Sparkly Font'
Pearl: Mark Richards - 'White Glitter Dome'
Bow: gingham ribbon from stash

Hope you can pop over to My Time To Craft and see the rest of the teamies wonderful baby creations!

I would like to say thank you for all your lovely comments on my last card... it didn't look quite so bad when I looked at it again!! :-))

Can't believe it's May - can you? where did April go?

I've had an awful week... nothing major... but by Thursday all the little things had really got to me... mainly to do with my dreaded 'tooth' which still needs removing... but had some more treatment and it's settled down again for now, and so I'm looking forward to weekend... gonna try and switch off from it all for a few days and chill out.... do some crafting and watch some catchup tv. Might take a look at the new drama Home Fires on Sunday.... just been reading about it and the cast looks good... fingers crossed it is good viewing as Poldark has now finished.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend
