and this week's theme is

'Spring Flowers'

I've used a Pre-Coloured Topper from LOTV - English Charm Pad...

I'm not very happy with this card... I've made such a mess of the embellies.... and it's way too busy! I didn't have time to make another one though, so thought I'd grin and bear it and post it anyway.
It does follow the theme at least! Lol :-J

MAWTT - Let's Get Reading!

Hello... I hope you are all doing ok today... big hugs to those of you who are unwell or going through difficult times... I really hope things improve soon for you.

it's the turn of Team B once again at

our lovely boss Hazel is hosting this week and has chosen a fab theme! :-))

'Let's Get Reading'

We would like your creation to be Inspired by a book or to have a page of a book on it.

I recently read all nine of the Little House Books by Laura Ingalls Wilder... and Wow! how I loved them. So my card today is inspired by them.

I did get one of the books out of the library when I was a young teenager but I didn't like it back then... guess I wasn't mature enough, or I expected it to be exactly the same as on TV which it wasn't. They sure went through some tough times, especially in the long winters... and reading about it really brought home to me how 'comfy' our lives are nowadays in comparison.

I am usually a really slow reader, but got through these books in couple of months... couldn't put them down... SO interesting and beautifully written. I love the TV series too and watch the Box Set over and over. Recently my daughter bought me the book Laura's Album which is a Scrapbook style book of her life ... lots of photos of Lauras family and Memorobilia... would highly recommend if you are a fan of Little House! :-)

This Sarah Kay image always reminds me of Laura Ingalls and I thought the papers worked well with the image and theme.

My Time to Craft GDT - Umbrellas!

Hello... I hope you are all doing ok today... it's Saturday and time for another of my GDT challenges over at

and this week's theme is

'Umbrellas'

I took the easy option for this card... a lovely Pre-Coloured Topper and Decoupage Sheet from Pink Gem Designs. I've layered and 3D'd the hat, brolly, bow and heart. The sheet also comes with option of the same heart sentiment but with Happy Birthday. The Sheet Printout is supposed to be for an 8 x 8 inch card but I've resized it to fit one of my smaller Kraft Card Blanks.
I love this card... was so easy to do and it's very sweet! :-)

Hope you can pop over to My Time To Craft and see the rest of the teamies wonderful creations!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend! let's hope the sun will have his hat on over the next couple of days! :-))

MAWTT - Inspiration Photo

Hello... I hope you are all well today.... huge hugs to those who are unwell or not feeling good...  it's the turn of Team B once again at

our lovely Red is hosting this week and she has given us this fab

 'Inspiration Photo'
use for your inspiration!
The theme? The colours? Whatever speaks to you!

I love doing inspiration photos as it makes me try new things... and this lovely photo certainly inspired me... lots of things leaped out at me... Layers, Butterflies, Hot Summer Colours, Raindrops sparkling in the sunshine (I have a very vivid imagination !! )

I've made the flower out of a new die from Die-Cutting Essentials 2 Magazine, and wanted to make it look delicate like a water lily. I only had green vellum though... so green it had to be!! Lol. I heat embossed the edges with copper to match the butterflies.

The butterflies were made with a stamp set that was freebie with Quick Cards Made Easy a few weeks ago. I stamped and heat embossed with Copper Embossing Powder onto green vellum.

I've embossed or debossed? the orange card with a honeycomb pattern. Decided my pale green paper on right looked a bit bland and so I stamped a background pattern onto it. The stripey orange/white border is a strip of quilling paper. Finally, I added some Dew Drops.

I hope you can pop over to our main site at MAWTT and see the rest of the Team's sparkly creations this week!!

Did you all have a lovely Easter? mine got off to a bumpy start as my mum came down with flu and she needed lots of TLC as she was very sick. She is a lot better now though which is a relief. I went to have a tooth out last week and the dentist couldn't get all of it out... so I'm left with the root in... waiting for an appointment at dental hospital to have it cut out! will be glad when I get rid of it as my gum keeps swelling up and is very sore. I did manage to eat my Easter Bunny and Easter Egg though! I scoffed them all in one go this year!!

Just heard that Poldark has been renewed for a second season... that's good news isn't it!!! I gasped with horror when I read a comment on the Daily Mail yesterday though... a lady said that Ross Poldark needed a shave, a good bath and to lose some weight!! Noooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!  ROFL

Thanks for all your lovely comments, I really do appreciate them!
Will catch up with you all soon!

My Time To Craft GDT - Get Krafty

Hello,  it's Saturday and time for another of my GDT challenges over at

and this week's theme is

'Get Krafty'
(use Kraft card... can be stamped on or used as layers etc.)

I've used a Kraft Card Blank and kept things quite clean and simple for this card. I embossed a panel of green card with butterflies.... then added some lovely toppers that were a Birthday gift recently.

To finish, I've added a few random gems.

Hope you can pop over to My Time To Craft and see the rest of the teamies wonderful krafty creations

Sorry I've not been around much. Seems to be one thing after another at home. My daughter had horrid flu bug last weekend and now my mum has come down with it. I've got problems with tooth again, and waiting for a referral to dental hospital. My crafting mojo has disappeared at the moment. But did manage a bit of colouring yesterday, so there is hope! lol

Really hope the sunshine comes back here in UK. It was lovely day on Thursday... but raining all day on Friday! our daffodils have been battered with wind, rain, sleet... but they're still standing!!!  Yay!

I hope you all have a lovely Easter Weekend.
