'Use Any Magnolia Stamp'

I've used 'Sherwood Edwin'. I've had this stamp for ages so thought it was about time that I inked him up.  I've teamed him up with my favourite DCWV 'Latte' papers.

Moving Along With the Times - Snow Cute

Hello... I hope you are all well today... it's Thursday and the turn of Team B over at

and our lovely Anne is hosting a theme of....

  'Snow Cute'

it doesn't have to be a card... as long as your creation is CUTE and has something to do with SNOW!!!!

so I've made two CAS but hopefully cute cards! My daughter bought me this MS Punch for Mother's Day and I've been itching to try it out... I used some thin white card and love how it came out.

there isn't much on TV at the moment... so I've been doing a bit of crafting and colouring in the evenings to relax. I'm also reading a new book about George Boleyn (Anne's sister) which is really interesting!
I will catch up with you all soon! thanks for all your lovely comments... I really do appreciate them! :-)

Divas - Anything But a Card

Hello.... I hope you are all well.... it's Team A's turn over at

and we have a wonderful theme for you this week of....

'Anything BUT a Card'

so no cards allowed this week... can't wait to see what you all make instead! :-))

I've made some Mini Note Books.... they have little Post-It Pads inside...

I was lucky enough to win this Mini Note Holder Kit in some Candy from my lovely blogging friend Claire about 15 months ago. Now I'm gonna confess... I've got the kit out a few times but couldn't figure out the instructions and how to do it!! Lol ... but thought this time I'm gonna master it!!

The Kit has 3 Post It Pads and the bits and bobs to make the holders for them... I really like how they came out and I got better with each one that I made.

and this is how I made them....

You are given two pieces of chipboard in the Kit...that act as guides.... the long piece at the top... and the one on the left.... I chose some pretty paper and began placing the pieces on the wrong side... placed the first piece of square chipboard in the top left corner... I used strong double sided tape to stick it.

then move the side guide piece over to the right hand side and use it as a guide on where to put your right hand square of card.... hope you are following this.. it is hard to explain!!

Then you take the short piece of card for the spine and stick that in the centre.... and now all your bits are stuck on for the basic note holder.

So take both guide pieces away. Trim any excess paper so that you have just enough to fold over and leave a nice margin as below...

Fold each side along and glue securely.... I used Tacky Glue for this....

If you want to add a ribbon... then now is the time to add before you put the inside paper over....

Trim a piece of paper to size and cover the inside neatly.... again I used tacky glue....

I found it works best if you bend the holder into shape every once in a while.... as the glue is drying... that way it has some give for the hinge....

I forgot to photograph the next stage!! but you glue the Post-It Notepad onto the right hand inside of the holder.... leave all to dry properly.... then decorate the front as you wish....

If you are wondering where the ribbon went on this one - I decided it was a bit too thick and looked awful when tied!! So I trimmed it off this one.... but I used some thin white organza ribbon one of the others and that worked really well.

Once you get the hang of them, they are so easy to make and I think they look really sweet!! they don't need much decoration. I've used a Flower and some Bo Bunny Isabella Metal Trinkets.
You can make these yourself without a kit... if you Google 'Post It Note Holder Crafting' you will get lots of Tutorials that come up. The dimensions all depend on the size of the Post It Pad... but once you have the measurements it should be straight forward. They make lovely gifts. As soon as I get time I am gonna make some bigger ones too! :-))

We are sponsored by the wonderful Craft Bag

I hope you can pop on over to our main blog at Divas by Design and see the team's gorgeous creations!!! :-))

Can't believe it's mid-week again! I almost forgot to schedule this post ... but remembered in the middle of the night!! Glad it's all done in draft!

Thanks for all your lovely comments on my last card. My asthma is a lot better now... I've doubled up my Inhaler which helps. The weather forecast says it should brighten up a bit by Thursday... so let's hope so and fingers crossed it will be nice for the weekend! :-))

MAWTT - I'm Dreamin' Of a White Christmas.....

Hello... I hope you are all doing ok today! it's Team B's turn over at

and our lovely boss Hazel is hosting a theme of

I'm Dreamin' Of a White Christmas....

So we want to see White on White Christmas Cards!

I used some new stash and decided to keep things very Clean and Simple. My first attempt went in the bin... I embossed the Card Blank and learned a valuable lesson that dry embossing weakens the card!! I still have a lot to learn!! I tried strengthening it with some card on the inside but it looked rubbish!! so had another go and embossed a panel for the front instead.. love how simple the design is and yet it looks so pretty! On my first attempt I glittered all the embossing and poinsettia... but think I prefer it kept pure like this and it shows off the embossing much better.

Embossing Folder:  Coutoure Creations - 'Bon Jour'
Die: Magnolia Doo Hickey - 'Poinsettia'
Die: Elizabeth Craft Designs - 'Merry Christmas'

I hope you can pop on over to our main site at MAWTT and see the rest of the Team's wonderful WOW creations ... they are all fab and sure to inspire you!

This is my first Christmas Card this year... I usually make one a month and so I'm behind... need to make four more now!! hopefully I can catch up over the Summer.

I'm looking forward to weekend and having a nice rest. I've had asthma every night this week and I'm really tired!! seeing my GP tomorrow about it... really hope I can sort it out for weekend and get some much needed sleep! :-))

Ah well, my Apple Mac weather says it's gonna rain here in Manchester, UK for the next few days... thunder and lightning on Sunday!! can't wait to see if it's correct!! Lol - so perfect weather for staying in snug and warm and crafting! ;-))
Take Care and I will catch up with you soon!

Psst....Little Bit of Gossip....

Ooh... now I bet you thought I was going to tell you some really juicy gossip? Lol - ah sorry no...  I have used an image from Funky Kits called 'Little Bit of Gossip', hence the title of my post!

I thought I would show you a card that I made for my lovely blogging friend Debs Birthday.

Image: Funky Kits - 'Little Bit of Gossip'
Paper: First Edition - 'Boho Chic'
Die: Memory Box - 'Corner Bow'
Flowers: Papermania
Brass Butterfly - Vintaj

I layered up with some Coffee coloured card and some Pearlised Mink card... and added some Sparkly Papermania Flowers to the Corner Bow! and a lovely brass charm by Vintaj.

I coloured her with Copics
added lots of Stardust Stickles to the Flower and Wings...

Ah well... my new printer has arrived and is all set up... it is printing much better than my old one ever did and also takes my card blanks through it... so I'm very happy with it. I also have my new Magnetic Shim for eBosser... so all is well again in Craftland! :-))

The weather is very dull here in Manchester today but at least it's not raining. My daughter is in Llandudno today for the Victorian Extravaganza, so I'm hoping it stayed fine for the parade!

I have a few cards to finish off now that I have my printer up and working. Lemon Risotto for tea and then will relax later and watch The Crimson Field and might have some choccies!!

I hope you are all well and having a lovely Bank Holiday Weekend! Big hugs to those who are not feeling good... I hope you feel lots better very soon!
